KU Theatre presents several awards to students who are completing their undergraduate or graduate degrees. The Jack B. Wright Award is presented to a graduate or undergraduate student who has made significant contributions to the University Theatre. Visit the Jack B. Wright Award criteria (PDF) for more information. The Laura Louise Pryor Award and the Shirley and Tom P. Rea Memorial Award are each presented to a graduating senior. Visit the Laura Louise Pryor Award criteria (PDF) and Shirley and Tom P. In order to apply for these awards students should fill out the Graduating Theatre Students Award Application through KU AcademicWorks. If you have not used the platform before, here is a helpful Guide to using AcademicWorks (PDF). Applications must be completed by March 1 for consideration.

Students completing their undergraduate or graduate degrees are also eligible for the Kilty Kane Award and the Kuhlke Humanitarian Award. These awards are presented by nomination and vote of the faculty of the Department. No application is necessary.
