Summary

Spencer is a  Master’s student in Scenography. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre design with a minor in metalsmithing at the University of Kansas. This season he is designing costumes for The Christians. He has served as assistant lighting designer of One Man, Two Guvnors, as scenic designer of the University Theatre black box productions of Ashes to Ashes and Henry's Law, and designed “Pino” the horse for Late, A Cowboy Song. Spencer previously served as the scenic charge, properties master and lead carpenter at the University of South Dakota and served as a journeyperson properties carpenter for the Santa Fe Opera 60th anniversary season, making a large range of props for such shows as Romeo et Juliet, Capriccio, Vanessa, Don Giovanni, and La Fanciulla del West. He has also served as the technical director for the William Inge Memorial Theatre. ​He is currently serving as a member of the U.S. Military Forces.
