Department of Theatre seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in Scenography

The Department of Theatre at the University of Kansas is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor (scholar-artist in theatre design, holding an MFA and/or PhD, who has research and specialty interest in costume design. Ideal candidates will be scholar-artists whose research interests intersect in areas of Latinx Studies, Indigenous Studies, African American Studies, Gender and Sexuality Studies and/or Digital Media.  Candidates should possess interdisciplinary approaches to research methodologies with the ability to build a strong national reputation through publication and/or creative works.  S/he/they would be expected to 1) engage in creative activity; 2) establish an emerging profile; 3) fulfill the instructional academic and design. Advising, and mentoring needs of students in our BFA Theatre Design, MFA Scenography, and MA/PhD Theatre Studies programs.
