New and Returning Dance Students
Scholarships
- The Department awards several scholarships in Dance to both B.F.A. & B.A. students each year for the following academic year.
Scholarships available for new & returning Dance Students
- An application and a live or video audition is required for scholarship consideration and/or admission into the B.F.A. Dance program.
- New students who attend the live audition will be contacted soon afterward with notice of acceptance status and any scholarship offers. Additional notices and offers will be sent following the video audition deadline.
- Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, live auditions will not be held in Spring 2021. A video audition must be submitted with the application instead.
Awards
- Each year KU Dance grants the Elizabeth Sherbon Award to a junior or senior for artistic and academic excellence and the Jump Start Award to a graduating senior to get a start on their career. These awards range from $500 up to $1000. Application information can be found on each award page.
Loren Kennedy Traineeship
- Dance students are eligible to apply for the Loren Kennedy Traineeship. Application information can be found on the traineeship page.
