Student Employment


The Department employs several student assistants during the academic year in a variety of roles. These include administrative office assistants, box office assistants & house managers, scenic, prop & costume construction assistants, and lighting & sound technicians. Current openings for student employment are listed below. 

Student Event Staff

Provides support to the professional event staff during Departmental events and performances by serving as house managers and/or box office staff. Hours will be assigned based on the event schedule and employee availability.

Student Lighting & Projections Assistant

Hands-on work creating the lighting and projection elements involved in the Theatre & Dance season.

Student Office/Box Office Assistant

General office and reception duties in the Theatre & Dance Academic & Production Offices. Ticket Sales in the University Theatre Box Office. House Management for Theatre & Dance productions as assigned. May include some night & weekend hours.

Student Scene Shop/Technical Assistant

Hands-on work creating the scenic elements involved in the Theatre & Dance season. Involves use of power tools, painting, and working with fabrics.

Student Sound Assistant

Hands-on work creating the sound elements involved in the Theatre & Dance season. Involves audio production and operating the sound system for mainstage productions.
