Alums Come Home

Held approximately every five years, Alums Come Home is a reunion for all members of the KU Theatre & Dance family. The weekend includes a University Theatre production, workshops for students led by alumni with established careers, and receptions for alumni and students to connect.

Alums Come Home VII, October 22-24, 2021

This will be our first reunion since 2013, and our first since the Departments of Theatre and Dance merged three years ago.

We hope you can take this opportunity to join us here in Lawrence to:

  • Reconnect with former classmates
  • Network with fellow Jayhawks
  • Visit with current and former faculty and staff
  • Teach or attend master classes
  • Learn about the latest developments in Theatre and Dance at KU
  • Participate in significant conversations pertaining to our industries
  • Serve as a role model for the next generation of Jayhawks
  • Celebrate our beloved Director of Theatre, Katherine (Kathy) Pryor, who will retire in 2022 after forty seasons with the University Theatre.

We are now taking registrations. You will be asked to RSVP for the events you are planning to attend. If your plans change you can let us know by emailing kutheatre@ku.edu. If you are attending with a spouse or partner please register separately so that we can have an accurate headcount. If at all possible, please register by October 1, 2021.
Register for Alums Come Home VII

In recognition of the fact that our alumni come from all walks of life and that many have endured financial hardships during the pandemic shut-downs of the entertainment and other industries, we are adopting a pay-what-you-can model for Alums Come Home VII. The Professional Advisory Board has created an endowment fund that will be used by the department to pay for all expenses associated with this and future Alums Come Home events. We ask that you contribute what you can, when you can.

Suggested contributions:
Graduates from 2015-present: $50
Graduates from before 2015: $75
