Biography

Kitty Corum is a playwright, actor, and fight choreographer native to Kansas City. She received her BA in Theatre from Truman State University. While at Truman, Kitty participated on stage as an actor, fight choreographer, and sound designer. Notable achievements during her time at Truman were being a finalist at KCACTF’s Irene Ryan Competition, and receiving a commendation for fight choreography for her work on Extremities.

Since graduating at Truman, she has gone on to receive her Advanced Actor Combatant certification through the Society of American Fight Directors. Most recently, her play, The Head of Medusa, was produced by Kansas City Public Theatre, where she also starred as the lead role, Medusa. Kitty hopes to continue her work as a playwright at KU, focusing on historical and mythological allegory.
