Biography —
Tiffani holds a Bachelor of Arts in musical theatre and history from Converse University (2019) and a Master of Arts in theatre from the University of South Carolina (2022). She was a board member for Proud Mary Theatre Company, a National Dramaturgy Fellow for the Kennedy Center for the Arts Theatre Festival, and she won the Outstanding Graduate Award for Entrepreneurship, Creativity, and Innovation at the University of South Carolina. She has served as dramaturg for a wide variety of theatrical productions, and she recently directed a production of Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses in 2021.
Tiffani’s research interests include theatrical adaptations of both classical and contemporary works, production dramaturgy, theatre pedagogy, and directing. In her undergraduate thesis, she discussed the use of early modern alchemical knowledge in theatrical works of Elizabethan London, while in her master’s thesis she compared the interpretations of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice in multiple contemporary theatrical productions. Tiffani utilizes her research as a means of finding new ways to approach teaching and learning, and she aspires to find unique approaches to educating students through the use of dramaturgical practices and adapted theatrical texts.
