Biography

Lynn performs and directs at professional and academic theatres in the Kansas City area. She recently directed Is God Is by Aleshea Harris at KC MeltingPot Theatre. Her acting credits include The Amen Corner at the KC MeltingPot, Chasing Gods by Paris Crayton III at Kansas Repertory Theatre and For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf at Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, a play she also recently directed at KC Melting Pot Theatre. She also played Mamma in The Watsons Go to Birmingham at the Coterie Theatre as well as Mrs. Loving in Rachel and Mrs. Day in Ain’t No Such Thing as Midnight Black, both at KC Melting Pot Theatre. She’s appeared extensively on the stage of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, In Play Theatre Company, Unicorn Theatre, and KC Melting Pot Theatre. Her screen credits include Kevin Willmott’s Jayhawkers, Destination: Planet Negro, and The Only Good Indian. She is retired from teaching drama and speech at The Pembroke Hill School in KC.
