Biography

Alex is an actor and writer with experience on the stage and screen. Off-Broadway he appeared in Puffs at New World Stages and Public Enemy at The Pearl Theater Company. He was also directed by Joel Schumacher in The Flea Theater's production of Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom. On television he is the voice of Talonflame in the Pokémon series. His semi-autobiographical web comedy, Alex is Black, has made several festival appearances including Stareable Webfest where he was nominated for best writing. Alex has also performed as an improviser in New York City at UCB, The PIT, as well as various comedy festivals around the country 

He holds a B.A. in Theater and Film and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Kansas. He apprenticed at the inaugural Rubicon International Theater Festival where he studied movement, acting, clowni, and improvisation with Moni Yakim and others. Alex studied advanced improvisation at UCB and spent four years as a member of The Flea Theater's resident acting company, The Bats.
