Katherine Pryor Student Emergency Fund

Katherine PryorAs Director of Theatre, Katherine Pryor witnessed numerous students at times of desperate need who, without support, would not have succeeded at KU. This fund was created to honor Katherine and her 42 years of dedication to KU by providing much-needed funding to students in crisis. By giving to the Katherine Pryor Student Emergency Fund, donors ensure students will have a confidential, expedited way to receive assistance when traditional channels are not an option. In the spirit of Katherine’s passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, preference will be given to students from underrepresented, marginalized, and historically oppressed communities. Help fund a seamless educational journey for students. 

Spearheaded by the Friends of Theatre & Dance, the support organization for the Department of Theatre & Dance, the Katherine Pryor Student Emergency Fund is aimed at accessible levels of fundraising. Every dollar helps lift up future stars and leaders in their field and honors a longtime leader in the Department who retired in 2022. Donate today!
